Fundamentals of Communication
This was the first lunch and learn I organized and was not without its challenges. Since it was the first internal lunch and learn, there were no set processes to follow, and I had to develop them along the way. It was essential that this event went smoothly, as it would set the precedent for future lunch and learns, and dictate the budget for other events as well. The joy of this project was the number of hats I wore — facilities coordinator, hospitality liaison, speaker contact, presentation designer. I cherished this dynamic role that allowed me the flexibility to learn on the job and open a space for designers and writers to better their verbal and visual communication skills.
