This event launched for our first ever Branding Newsletter. To read more about the newsletter and its evolution, click here.
To date, this is the most successful party that has been produced by the Branding Events Team. Since the project plan included both the newsletter and a celebration, we were able to develop a theme that would fit the publication and allow us to create a fun and memorable experience.
After the theme, Journey, was approved by our director, it was time to get working on...everything. I hosted a kickoff meeting to establish expectations, timelines, and team member responsibilities.
With the help of our Hospitality team, we set up five food stations from around the world: Mexico, France, Germany, Japan, and the United States. As this event was to commemorate large milestones for our department, I filed the necessary permits and approvals for alcohol. Beyond the food stations, we had areas set up for photo ops, guestbooks, and games. One of the most interactive and immersive experiences for guests was the custom passports. Each team member received a stack of personalized “stamps” (they were actually stickers, so that we could produce them in-house...) and were able to collect other team members’ stamps by asking questions and engaging with each other. We provided polaroids that could also be placed inside the passports as “travel documentation.”
The event was scheduled for two hours at the end of the workday but lasted until 9pm. It was an amazing experience to work with Hospitality so closely and launch the newsletter with such a fun and memorable event!
