World Cup Draft

Sporting events are an important part of our office culture, bringing our department together no matter the depth of knowledge. The Draft Pick happens for every major cup and bowl; the process varies based on the type of sport, but always includes one element of randomness to ensure everyone has a fair chance of winning. This World Cup was the largest draft pick we put together, spanning multiple departments and what seemed like endless days. We had a launch party to celebrate, and team members drew their country at random. I love seeing everyone get together for some fun, but there is always someone who pulls a bad team. In times like these, it is inspiring to see people sacrifice their good pick for a disappointed team member. That’s why I love these events — they bring us together, they rally us, and they help us remember that we all have common goals.
